The movie you are seeking is 'Total Eclipse' (1995) with 
Leonardo DiCaprio as the gay French Poet Arthur Rimbaud 
and David Thewlis plays the English Poet and Leonardo's 
lover Paul Verlaine. The movie has several nude scenes but
the nudity is discretely out of focus, and at least one sex
scene between Leo and David.
