Carol responds:

"Gah!" is the word, all right. If it's any comfort, I doubt that
Ginny's Phoenix Patronus is canonical. After all, Dumbledore is still
alive in OoP, and surely there's no canonical reason for her Patronus
to closely resemble his.

Also, I don't think that a Patronus symbolizes power so much as
immortality, or, in DD's case, a long life and a close relationship
with Fawkes. And the Patronus is a "spirit guardian," not (as I
understand it) a reflection of the caster's own personality like an
Animagus form.

At most, it may indicate that Ginny will have a long life or inherit
Fawkes (though I think that Fawkes will go to Harry, the Keeper of the
Tail Feather).

Carol, who thinks that Ginny's Patronus is probably a cat or a Kneazle
