Yes, that's what makes it all so worrisome. I not only remember Beta/VHS - I 
chose VHS from the start so was not out anything, I remember  8track/cassette 
- again I lucked out never having owned an 8 track. I   still have all of my 
favorite game cartridges from my Atari and original Nintendo, but, of course, I 
no longer have anything to play them on. Between the never-ending change in 
technology and a wrong decision you can wind up losing a lot of money. And, 
once again, I agree with your assessment of WB.
