But, at least one question was answered. With Michael Gambon also playing 
the bartender at the Hogs Head, we can probably rest assured that "the 
bartender" and "Aberforth" are one and the same.

I agree, they even had a goat in that scene which convinced me the bartender 
is indeed Aberforth.

No...Aberforth was played by another actor.  Jim McManus or something like that.
