Went to see the movie as planned . . .

As I said in a previous post, my husband and I went to see OotP Monday afternoon.
First, I should mention that my husband isn't a Harry Potter fan and hasn't read any of the books (he says he has no desire to - Lord of the Rings is his thing). He has gone to see the movies with me since PoA, though. He likes PoA, and the Scotland scenery in it. I don't think he liked GoF - he seemed to find it a bit confusing. (As for me, I didn't like the way the beginning was done.) As for OotP, he said he liked it somewhat, although he said he found it a bit vague and thought it had a continuity problem.
As for me, I have mixed feelings about it. There were parts that I liked, especially the Dumbledore's Army part (starting with the initial meeting where anyone who was interested in having a "proper teacher" for Defense Against the Dark Arts was invited by Hermione) and the very end where Harry says something that I liked (though I don't know if this was in the book). I must admit that I found it hard to follow the battle at MoM, and that I can understand my husband's comment about the continuity problem. I can say that I will get the DVD when it comes out and will make use of it. But, it's reading the book that will continue to give me great pleasure.
My Grade: C+
