Hey Mary
No, I didn't get answer to this post, you are the first who's responding. I
know, you can make a record from dvd's so you only have left the sounds, I
have such a record of poa (I can play it with my daisy- or cd-player). But it's
a difficult proces, and you have to use different software, I can't give you
technical support, but it's possible.
Best, Katty

Hi, Katty!
Once I got a DVD player for my computer, I was able to make audio track of
any DVD that I am playing. I can burn those to CD & play them but it is a
long, straightforward, albeit tedious process. I'd love to be able to separate
out the different layers of voice, background sounds & music.
On the wonderful extended editions of Lord of the Rings, there is a segment
were they discuss the different audio effects and you can watch the same scene
without music, with sound effects, etc. It was fascinating to watch and even
more to listen without watching.
