>>Yeah, I did note the hairy legs first off, but then again was a bit
surprised to see them in GOF during the 2nd task. I think that was
possibly filmed late in the production schedule, when his hair was
longer and he looked a bit older to me. December Boys was filmed
between GOF and OotP.
Dan's really not that skinny, actually. He has nicely toned legs, and
as we know from the Equus pix a well-defined torso, arms, and
well...bum! (not that I'm looking that closely, ha! LOL).
I respect that Dan is interested in doing other things than just
blockbusters. It might be tough to try and beat 'the most successful
series of all time'. But if he's looking for stage roles, indie films,
etc, that is quite respectable to add to his acting portfolio. I think
that's possibly more of a 'Brit' mentality. A lot of the veteran Potter
actors have a huge, varied body of work.
For any 'Dan fan' it's interesting to see him acting in other than
Potter. Even if you do have to drive 100 miles, Lynda. :-)

I didn't mean he was skinny as in "scrawny" - he's beautifully toned, "in
excellent nick" as the Brits say. But he's small too, poor guy (on Rove, a
huge blond woman sitting next to him bumped him and grabbed him around the
shoulders and said "Oh, he's so TINY!" and on something that just showed up on
DR.com a couple of days ago, Dan surprised a young fan at the Odeon theater and
gave him an autograph. Dan said he was very pleased to meet the boy, and
that it was cool that Dan was taller than him! Then Dan said, "How old are
you?" and the boy said "10" and Dan gasped, "I'm 18!" and made some other comment
I can't recall right now. I sure hope he grows some more - sometimes I
think he's got a really good attitude about his size, and other times, like this
one, I think yeah, he really does wish he'd get bigger).

I noticed his hairy legs in GoF too, and the bit of hair on his chest in the
Prefect's bathroom scene. Those two scenes helped me understand what he
meant when he said he could tell the difference in when some scenes were filmed
because he "knew what to look for." Now he has enough hair on his chest
(apparently) that it shows through the collar of his shirt. I remember as a teen
what a shock it was to see that kind of thing on boys - suddenly, they were
men! And I think that's what all the "hairy leg" hoopla is about. Dan says
some people think he's Peter Pan and will be a boy forever - and that they
need to get over that.

And yeah, I think he's doing the Brit actor thing of having a well-rounded
career, one that will last a lot longer than most Hollywood child stars'
careers. And yes, I will be driving the 100 miles each way to Cincinnati to see
"December Boys" - possibly more than once if I really like the film! :)
