Oddly, the City of London would seem to disagree with you as
well as the critics, the audience, and the general theater
community.

While I'm sure anyone would realize that the play is 
acknowledged as a little heavy handed, none the less, critics 
raved about Dan's performance.

Is this the greatest play in the world, certainly not, but
very few are. Yet, it is a play of reasonable substance, and
apparently the actors did a fine job of it. 

So, you don't like it...that's fine...don't go.
