OT: Twilight (was Re: Twilight vs. HP)

I haven't seen the movie - I'm taking my 12-year-old goddaughter to see
it later this week. But I've read the first two books, and I can say
that the audiences for Harry Potter and Twilight are totally different.
Lots of boys are/were very much into Harry Potter, which is, after all,
more or less from the viewpoint of a boy. Twilight is first person from
the view of a girl who spends many, many pages talking about her deep,
overwhelming love and pain. I have a hard time imagining any boy who
wouldn't stop reading after a while. You either get caught up in the
true love thing or you get bored.
