I just couldn't relate a beautiful little Oriental girl to a Scottish
brogue. Which is silly, really, Because I knew she would have an
English accent of some kind.

There are plenty of "Oriental" people in Scotland so a Scottish
"accent" is quite normal; the word "brogue" isn't often used though.
You knew she would have an English accent - but she hasn't - Scottish
isn't English!
Gambon was born in the Republic of Ireland which made him Irish not
British, though he later received UK nationality.
Great Britain is England Scotland and Wales. UK is Great Britain and
Northern Ireland.
Pippin wrote "....Glasgow was wrong for Hagrid", but there's nothing
Scottish about his voice!
