Geoff:
Leeds, to be even more positional.

Geoff:
Rupert was born in Stevenage, which, as you say is to the north of
London - bit further than a suburb. To me, though, having lived in
south-west London for 45 years, he sounds more of an ordinary "Sarf
Lunnoner" than middle-class.
Dan isn't really, really posh. He's well-spoken South London; I often
get accused of this although I spent the first nine years of my life in
Lancashire. Interestingly, Dan and I were near neighbours from
1989-1994, when I moved out to Somerset. He still lives in Fulham
and I lived in Wandsworth; these are on opposite banks of the
Thames about 3 miles apart.
