I think Durmstrang is in Russia. Most people write off
Russia because the only place in Russia they can think of
is Siberia which is all wrong for the school. However, there
is a section of Russia North of St. Petersburg and East of
Finland; the Kola Peninsula which is perfect. It is
Scandinavian-ish, and it easily services all of Eastern
Europe which naturally includes western Russia.

It is a unpopulated region of Russia, it has mountains,
forests, and lakes. It seems a perfect fit in my book.
Likely Hogwarts services Great Britian/UK. Beauxbatons
services western Europe (Spain, France, etc...), and
Durmstrang services Eastern Europe. I'm not sure how Italy
and Greece fit into the picture yet.
Just passing it along.
