Look closely and you'll see the same stairway in the background of the "it's over" and (presumably) "Avada Kedavra" shots. You can see it behind Draco, too, when he says something like, "I have to do this."

Carol, who thinks that we'll just have to suspend our expectations as well as our disbelief to enjoy the movie as a movie (and Snape looks fine!)
