Hi everyone,
I've been using the series as part of a character development course in my
summer school session. We've watched one movie each week, and next week
will do a field trip to see the new movie.
Today, we watched Order of the Phoenix. Just after the ministry battle,
after Sirius dies, and Harry offers to help Luna find her shoes, she says
her mother once told her that oftentimes, things that go missing can come
back to you, but in a way you don't expect. I remember thinking --
remember, this movie was out before the 7th book came out -- that perhaps
Sirius would be one of those things that came back in a way Harry didn't
expect. Of course now we know that didn't happen. Am I alone in thinking
this is one of Rowling's missteps? Sirius returning would have been such a
lovely thing.
But I don't recall off-hand if this statement was made in the book. I know
certain "liberties" were taken with the book to make the movie -- such as
Sirius calling Harry "James" during the battle. Anyone recall?
Also...did anyone check out A Very Potter Musical on youtube? I recommended
it weeks ago, but no one commented on it.
