This reminds me of POA, when Harry and Hermione are riding Buckbeak after
Harry casts the kickass patronus. He is explaining how it was *himself* he
saw across the pond, not his dad. Duh! In the movie, she was right there and
it was obvious!

But, Harry had not been able to produce a full patronus, the point he was
making was that he KNEW he COULD do it because he realized he HAD done it,
he wasn't telling her he had done it, he was telling her how he knew he
could. What he was explaining was why he suddenly decided to jump forward
and cast a spell he hadn't been able to in the past. To me, big difference.
