A digital copy is a low-res version of the film. There's two on a disk, one
is very-low res for play on tiny screens like I-Pods and Zune's the other is
a VHS quality that can play on computers. Neither are DVD quality. I think
it's dumb, personally. Just include a DVD with no DRM (digital rights
management) and then the owner can put it on any device in full quality.
Most Disney movies come with 3 disk, Blu-Ray, DVD & Digital Copies. You
have to use the code that comes with the disk to access / play the digital
copy, and you have to register it, so you can't share.

Subject: [HPFGU-Movie] Digital copy?
Can anyone explain what "digital copy" means and how it differs from a DVD?
Can it be played on a DVD player or computer and what's the point of buying
it as opposed to another format?
