As a result, I think it is quite possible that movie-only audience members may take Movie!Harry's view of the matter (which it seems you did). I would also add that the beginning/middle of the last book were quite wonderful to this reader, who was pretty sure Snape was a good guy after reading HBP, which suggests a movie could also be to such a viewer. I just am clueless why they thought any of the changes were necessary. I can understand shortening things and consolidating or eliminating some elements. However I just have no idea why they changed the movie so much that it was barely recognizable to the book other than the characters were the same. I truly hope that they do a better job with the last 2 movies. Otherwise they'll have taken what was promising to be a wonderful series of movies and ruin the last few. It's almost like they just through it together willy nilly with no continuity that I could see. Sorry but to me it was one of the worst movies I've seen.
