Oh I'm exactly the same Valerie! For the first of the many films I would
re-read right before. and then get irritated by missing things.. This time
around I didn't and I was able to enjoy the film a lot more.

I am just now re-reading DH. I didn't want to read it b4 seeing the 
film because I get kind of hung up on what is left out of the book. So 
I want to go into the theatre a little fuzzy on the details! So far 
things seem to be fairly similar to the book. Some things are out of 
order, or combined in scenes. But overall I appreciate that much of 
the dialogue is directly lifted from the book. :-)
