I didn't have high expectations for this movie. I expected it to be an OK independent film, and I was OK with that. I'm not always looking for mega-hit productions, sometimes I like something odd and quirky, so I was OK regardless of how it turned out. But, I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Good production values, and it held together from beginning to end. A few suspenseful action moments, a good car chase, a few laughs, a few twist of the plot. I also have to say that I was very impressed with Rupert Grint. While I thoroughly like Rupert, I think he has one failing as an actor. When he speaker, it seem more like he is pulling his lines in rather than projecting them out. I think he could do with some speech and diction lessons. Having said that, I was very impressed with his role in this film. He came across as very natural in a movie that has elements of farce to it. His voice, which I previously commented on was also very natural and clear. This makes me very eager to see Rupert Grint in the upcoming "Comrade" movie where he will play opposite David Kross, the German actor who played opposite Kate Winslet in "The Reader", where I thought he did a stunning job for a very young actor. This gives me hope that Rupert might find his footing as an actor, and be able to carry on. I'm very eager to see "Cherry Bomb", but can't find it anywhere, and I'm not really willing to join Netflix just to see one movie. The only place I've seen "Cherry Bomb" is on Amazon.com (USA), yet, it is only available in PAL format. If Netflix has it, it must be available on NTSC somewhere. "Wild Target" was distributed by Foxlight, and I vaguely heard a rumon they were picking up "Cherry Bomb", so there is hope I will find it in my video store yet. In short, "Wild Target" greatly exceeded my expectations, and I found it an enjoyable and engaging movie. Well worth watching. Still, he's my favorite actorr of the trio because of his humor and naturalism. He doesn't seem to have much ego, which might actually hurt him in his career, but I hope he enjoys success. By the way, I saw Cherrybomb and enjoyed that, too. He does an Irish accent and is pretty good in the film, which is sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Always wait for the films to come out on DVD before I watch them as I'm registered blind so prefer to wait as the DVDs have got audio description. I'm looking forward to watching/listening to it over the weekend. Mine is the usual format for the HP DVDs, i.e. a two disc pack, one with the film itself and the other with various other related items, I imagine it contains deleted scenes, interviews with the actors, etc. My DVD was about 12 hee in the UK, don't know what the cost is in other parts of the world. Another shop was selling them for 18 but from what we could tell it was the same DVD, just that where I got it was selling it a bit cheaper. Pretty hard to choke on ice cream. I suspect the vivid images of the books in your mind, have clouded you view of the movie. The scene opens with everyone eating ice cream. Slughorn speakers with Cormac, then turns his attention to Belby, who is wolfing down ice cream like their is no tomorrow. Slughorn turns his attention away from Belby as Jenny walks in late. Being the only gentleman in the room, Harry stands as Ginny enters. Then, somewhere in the mix, Slughorn turns his attention to Hermione to says her parents are Dentists, and how a child bit Mr. Granger. That's pretty much the scene as I remember it in both the movie and on the video, though I confess it has been a while since I saw the movie in the theater. Anything you remember that does not involve them eating desert, probably comes from the book. Also, it was during Sluggie's luncheon on the train where Belby chokes on some pheasant. Given how things are now, what does that imply? -- Does that mean he doesn't accompany Luna to the Ravenclaw tower? -- Does it mean he needn't both talking to the Gray Lady? -- How is the scene in the Room of Requirements altered to accommodate this change? It is not as simply as Ginny being there. As I've said, this one change, in my opinion, more than any other, sends ripples through the storyline that are going to be very difficult to resolve in a satisfying way. I hope they accomplish it, but most of what Harry does once they reach Hogwarts is directed at resolving story points. Once at Hogwarts, he wraps up all the hanging threads of the story, and fill in the existing gaps in our and his knowledge. This is where the pieces of the puzzle all finally fall into place. But we now have one very big oddly shaped puzzle piece. I just don't see how this can be smoothly resolved, I hope they do it, but at the moment, I just can't see it. Still, the final battle is only a couple of months away. It's going to be a thrilling and bumpy ride to the end. It was my favorite scene in the books, and I hope they do it justice. Only a mother can understand the absolute fury of another mother when her babies are threatened. Go get'em Molly!! Kathi Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. I thought Harry was a true badass (pardon the language) in what he did to Voldy and I loved that he called him Tom while doing it. It was also great to see Lupin and Tonks and the shots of the Prince's tale. Can't wait until it comes out in the theaters. I will definitely be there at the midnight show to see it. --- In HPFGU-Movie at yahoogroups.com, "johnkclark" wrote: > > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mObK5XD8udk > > > It's not in the book but I like what Harry does to Voldemort. > > Eggplant >
