I mean the Ravenclaw ghost could say she has seen it in the Room of Requirements, but that seems a little cheezy, and something of a weak cop-out. At some point Ginny could come to the realization that she has seen the Diadem and tell Harry it is in the Room of Requirement. But, the Room is a big complex place, and how do you explain to anyone where the Diadem is located among centuries of chaos?"
Or Harry could overhear Malfoy say that he'd seen the Diadem in the Room of requirements, after all he had spent a lot of time there. Or Neville could say he'd seen something that looked like it as he does seem to know a lot about that room.
Or the movie makers could deal with it in the same way they handled the broken mirror problem, just ignore it and assume everybody who's watching the movie had also read the book; and so out of the blue Harry announces that he knows exactly where the Diadem is.
