There are some thing worth picking at and others that are just not worth the effort.
David Heyman said in an interview, that they knew the eyes were suppose to be Red, but felt if the added that in Post-Processing it would mask/soften Ralph Finnes performance. And by the same token, they didn't want to use too much make up or prosthetics because it limited the actors ability to emote.
So, this was not something they didn't think about.
But I agree, picking at eye color is too minor a point to pick at. Though, people are certainly free to express their dislike of that decision.
