In a way I think an actual confrontation that shows Harry holding his own and having nothing to do with wands and all that other BS was sorely missing from the book. On some level JKR missed it being about Harry and made it all about The Chosen One. I didn't catch the significance of that scene. Where did you see Tonks and Lupin? I liked the glimpses of Snape (he can fly!) though his death is the part I'm dreading. I'm thrilled that they're not deleting the Prince's Tale, but I'm sure they'll pare it down to a bare minimum. I also liked Ravenclaw's tiara, which isn't all tarnished as it is in the book. The scene between Dudley and Harry in DH is included in the deleted scenes on my DVD. As I'm registered blind I can't see what action takes place between them but the conversation is pretty much as it is in the book. There's also a scene which shows a conversation between Harry and Petunia. Harry is trying to explain to her why they need to leave the house, explaining that death eaters, dementors, etc. will attack if they find them. Petunia says something like "I know what they're capable of. You didn't just lose parents that night, I lost a sister". Pity they didn't leave those scenes in the main film. Only question now is does he die in Crabbe's stead or does Goyle? or maybe both? Book-Zabini appears more intelligent than Crabbe (wasn't he in the Slug Club?), but movie-Zabini barely exists, so maybe he'll be the Fiendfyre-caster. Yes, my username is after that Eustace Scrubb. I just bought the DVD of Voyage of the Dawn Treader and haven't watched yet. My son was so disappointed in the changes to Prince Caspian (which were pretty egregious) that I couldn't convince him to see VoDT in the theater. What I saw of Will Poulter in the trailers looked promising. Whether Silver Chair gets made is a good question. Was international box office good enough to warrant it? And what about the fact that all 4 Pevensies are now done with Narnia? Well, I certainly wouldn't have expected Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters to get made either, but apparently they're doing it. Trying to avoid all the spoilers. I'm debating whether or not I want to take my 13 yr. old daughters to the midnite viewing with me. I've never taken them because they were too young, but it would cool for them to experience the phenomenon at least once. But my concern is if I bust out crying at the end, and embarrass the heck out of them, lol!!! I so wish I could go to Orlando to attend Leakycon and see the movie with all the other HP fans as well as go to the WWoHP when they shut it down to all but the convention goers.
