Hey yall,

So far, those who have counted themselves in for Saturday are:

John
Jim
Cass
Lou
Jenny

If you're not on the above list, yell now :D I'll be sending an email to
Announcements and OTChatter about the meeting just now.

Things to do/Timing

1) Meeting Up: I recommend 10:30 am on Saturday, at the Information Booth
Clock, which is in the center of the Main Concourse at Grand Central Terminal
(42nd-48th St between Madison & Lex, Subway 4, 5, 6, 7, S). The Main
Concourse (not the waiting room!) is the enormous hall with the ceiling of
stars (Great Hall...). I will hopefully (assuming the iron-on transfer works) be
wearing my "Nobody Knows I'm A Wizard" blue t-shirt; alternatively, I'll email
the group Friday night with what I'll be wearing. Jim and I do tend to stand
out in a crowd (being taller and, well, bigger than everyone else :) so there
should be no problem meeting up. If you're unavoidably delayed, don't panic
-- folks will probably be starting to post cellphone numbers soon -- write them
down and call us -- we'll tell you where we are :)

2) Dim sum @ Jing Fong: The best dim sum palace in NYC. It's on Elizabeth,
the block immediately south of Canal, opposite the police precinct. Nearest
subway is the 6. It's excellent and really moderately priced for the quality. If
you have a special dietary requirement, yell now :) We'll probably head there
directly from Grand Central.

3) The afternoon: Since it's supposed to be nice (and if it turns out to be) I
will bring a picnic blanket with me and we can go find a good spot in Central
Park if nothing else. Alternatively, we can always go sit in a cafe somewhere
(the Village, perhaps?).

4) The evening: Dinner someplace? I'll check out this week's Time Out to see
if anything catches my eye; if not, we'll find somewhere like we did last time!

5) I can't think of anything else :) But if anyone has any recommendations,
feel free to yell!

--John (cellphone number to follow!)
