Hi everyone,

Obviously, I'm raising my hand for Saturday, and I'm fairly sure of the
following people, from recent emails:

Joy (for the afternoon)
Jenny
Sabs
Jim
Amy (for the afternoon)
Judy

Who else? Lou, Tzvi, Marina and Sarah and Abbie also, I think, but perhaps
they could all confirm?

I'm thinking it would be good to meet for lunch or coffee early on Saturday
afternoon, as some people can't be around for the evening, then see some
sights, and then meet for a drink and perhaps a meal in the evening (NY
pizza? It has to be done), for those who can make the evening. If everyone
is busy in the evening, no problem.

I'm going to be staying at this lavish joint: http://www.hotelgiraffe.com/
so anyone can reach me there. I'm taking my mobile with me, so if I can get
it working (it is a triband), the number is 07957 423 185. I can also get
in touch with Jenny by phone, which will be handy if I can't get near the
internet after I arrive.

The last time I came to NYC, we met at Grand Central Station, so we could do
that again (if we can agree a specific area), and perhaps say 1pm? I feel a
bit daft suggesting venues to native NYers, so I won't even try that, but I
think we need to have a 3pm meeting place as well, for anyone who can't be
there for 1pm. Mind you, Amy suggested 2ish, so perhaps we shouls agree a
time that everyone can make. Heidi proposed "dtut's on about 84th and
2nd" - should we give that a shot?

I've met some people before: Jim, Joy, Judy and Lou, at least, and I've seen
photos of Amy and Jenny (and they, likewise, of me). I think there are some
pictures in the folders of this list, in fact, but I'll post another one of
me, if there isn't. I guess some of you haven't met any of us before, so
we'll need to have some of us identifiable in a public place, if not waving
copies of HP books.

By the way, after a lot of hassle with the Gramercy Tavern over my Board
meeting dinner, I booked a table at Eleven Madison Park. If it's a dive or
a ripoff, please don't tell me. :-)

Looking forward to it!
