Sinead, Penn Sta is god awful. I know this,
cause as a LIer, that's our only choice. We have no trains from Grand
Central, which is too bad cause it's lovely. Still trying to figure out if
i can come or not, but if I do I'd be glad to meet you, you'd just have to let
me know what time. If I am remembering right, by the main entrance is this
oval-shaped hall with the leader board announcing departures and arrivals and
stuff. That's probably the best place to meet people, as all hallways in
Penn seem to lead to it.

If you want to get to GC, follow the signs to the
subway (13579 -- it'll be the line with the numbers in the
redcircles). this, incidentially, will take you right through the
Long Island Railroad portion of the station. Beware the commuters. They're
a growly bunch, especially before the coffee kicks in <;g>. Take that
train ($1.50, there are metrocard machines) up to times square and from there
catch the shuttle to GC (free transfer)...it's an "S" in a grey circle.

Hey all,

Seeing as I am coming down from Boston, I
was just wondering who I
would meet up in Penn Station/GCS (if I can
remember where the
shuttle is in Penn) on April 13. I told my Humanities
teacher about
the trip and he was pleased that I was doing something like
this. I
only said "contemporary literature" so all was fine.
Just
wondering where I would meet people at the station. Last time I
nearly got
lost in Penn but John and I found each other alright in
the corridor.
total glomp moment there *grin*. Is there a significant
place in Penn that
I could meet up or can I find my way to GCS?

Sinead

To
