I've always, always made up fan fictions, only I didn't know it
was called that. I tried to write an Oz book when I was twelve. Then I
discovered the Lord of The Rings, then Star Wars. But it wasn't until I
joined HPGU that I found out other people do this sort of thing...I
thought I was =so= weird.I read PoU and a bunch of stories on ffnet,
and then an HP story popped into my head and demanded to be written
down. I think fanfiction's great. I've met a whole bunch of people I
never would have met otherwise. And I =love= getting reviews.
I don't think it ruins canon. It is a time honored method of
interpretation and commentary.
