A Huge Thank You from the Mom-to-Be!!!

Hi everyone --

I just passed a lovely afternoon with Amanda, who is visiting her
brothers in The Woodlands tomorrow & stopped by to meet me this
afternoon.  She also brought me a very special present from a group of
you, and I really can't thank you enough!!  I looked through this
incredible book of poems, pictures, stories, and advice when she gave it
to me, but will absorb it in full tonight.  I am so touched!!!  :--)
<reaches for hankie>  This is so special and so unexpected.  I'm
especially amazed by those of you who mailed pages to her from
overseas.  Wow!

Amanda says to let everyone know that she *did* take photos of me with
the book.  <crosses fingers that I don't look too horrible .... having
one's photo made in the 39th week of pregnancy is a bit frightening to
say the least>

It was great to meet Amanda in person (I've now met 3 of our listies:
Ebony, Jeralyn and Amanda).  I served her scones with clotted cream
(imported from Devon no less) and biscuits (British style!).  You may
recall that Amanda was intrigued by the notion of clotted cream, so I
decided that she had to try it since I can get it at a British import
store here.  We passed on the hot tea as it's hot & muggy here in Texas,
opting for ice water instead.  <g>

We watched the HP trailer (twice) as she's not ever been able to get
anything other than choppy stills on her computer, and I showed off some
of my HP collectibles stuff.  We had a delightful conversation -- it
would be so great if we could have a national (or international)
get-together!!!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed to my very special present -- I
can't wait to sit back & read it tonight!  Trina -- I'm planning on
wearing that golden snitch pin to labor & delivery -- it will be a
conversation piece.  <vbg>
