Possibly I'm getting hopelessly muddled up! Probably thinking of Old
Testament Hebrew.
Is Aramaic the same as Syriac? (dim and distant memories of school RI
lessons).
Maybe the original mistranslation was done in Aramaic - which might
explain why Yael can't make it work in (modern) Hebrew. Are the two
very different? If you asked me to translate Anglo-Saxon I'd be
stuck ...
