Fizzy drinks and more

Congratulations to Jeralyn and her Remus.

In New York City, they called all non-alcoholic fizzy drinks soda. Or
soder.

As a child in Los Angeles, I called it all sof' drink. Damned if I know
where I learned that.

Lemonade is a dangerous word. Ask a Brit for lemonade and he'll give you
7-UP ('white soda') instead. You have to say citronade if you mean
lemonade.

I looked at the Which Character Are You Like quiz in its previous
incarnation and decided that the questions were too hard (IIRC one was
'are you obsessed with your appearance?'). I looked at the lists of
answers that other list members had gotten and formed an opinion that
the quiz doesn't seem very accurate. The questions that people have
mentioned this time around confirm that: having a criminal record
doesn't make you brilliant, talented, sexy Sirius, able to turn into a
big black dog, and having a pet doesn't make you Hagrid.
