I am so glad to see someone else who loves Rock and Rye! A lot of my family
lives in Detroit and the surrounding area, and we always had Faygo every
time we visited. Finally, I found a place in Kentucky (where I was living)
that sold it right before I moved to Seattle. Now there's no hope. The
thing about Rock and Rye is it's not just like Cream Soda, there's something
else to it. It's not the same stuff as, say, A&W Cream Soda. Not to
mention Redpop. There's nothing that compares. The other weird flavor I
remember is the pineapple-orange soda. Strange stuff.

And since I'm from Kentucky, I call everything a coke. And I do prefer Coke
when it comes to colas (I also had a Pepsi Challenge episode where I said I
like this one and the other one is Pepsi...), but I also like just about any
carbonated thing you can give me. I have a seltzer bottle and routinely
make carbonated Kool-Aid. The ex-flavor Great Bludini was the best
carbonated...

Pepsi preference aside, the best array of soft drinks is Faygo.
Another Midwestern thing, I'm sure... perhaps Michigan only. Faygo
comes in about as many flavors as Baskin-Robbins ice cream does, and
costs anywhere from fifty-nine to ninety-nine cents a bottle plus
deposit. Good stuff! My favorite flavors are Rock and Rye (cream
soda), Twist (lemon-lime), and Redpop (strawberry).
