YES! :::does a little dance::: I was wondering why the Vernors of today
tastes differently than that of yesteryear (when I was really little). I
grew up after the time of the downtown Vernors counter--but the building I
live in (opened fall 1995) was built on the site of the old Vernors bottling
plant.  ;-)

Even today's version can beat the stuffing out of Canada Dry or anything
else I've ever tasted. And yes, there is nothing better if you have a cold.

The one thing that I miss from the South is not the beverages, nor Krispy
Kreme donuts (which are nice going down but settle badly on my stomach--I
always get a stomachache after eating them!) since KK is now available up
here...

...it's the seafood.

catfish, not the kind that had to be frozen and shipped inland)

Have not ceased to need,
Those who have ceased to care
Have not ceased to bleed;

Seek, nor mark the averted faces,
But see the heart."
