We call 'em "Buicks," they're approximately that size. And they crunch
rather nastily when you accidentally step upon them. Ugh. I woke my
father up at 4 a.m. once, because one had gotten away from me and flown
*into the closet* and I refused to put on any clothes or go to work
until the Buick was found and destroyed.

I went and sprayed it, left it gasping, and he said it was dead when he
got home. The body's still in there, have to go get it in a brave
moment. Black widows ook me out because they're so *pretty* if you look
at them objectively---shiny black, graceful, nice red contrast on the
hourglass....and then you kind of mentally shake yourself and think,
"that little thing can kill me!" uuuggghh. At least brown recluses are
just as disgusting looking as any other run-of-the-mill nasty spider.

other day or the one tucked under the edge of the Sit-n-Spin this
morning, either
