[HPFGU-OTChatter] Worried

I wouldn't worry.
My dad's in law enforcement, so I grew up around this stuff.  Would you rather the cops be there, or not be there?  Whatever they're there for, they'll get it done and get gone, that's what they've been trained to do.  

I just figured that I'd take this little beautiful moment to toast those officers, all of whom work in one of the most dangerous jobs around -- could you imagine having to put on a bulletproof vest before *you* went to work everyday?  These fine men and women face down drug dealers, wife beaters (and the occasional husband beater -- it happens!), thieves, kidnappers...and more often than not, they have a gun, and they will use it.  
Cops, especially here in the states, can get a bit of a bum rap, thanks to the stupidity of a few dumb officers. Condemn those jerks and praise the rest, who have one of the most difficult jobs around, and yet still come in to work every morning.

  Policemen can do that to you, can't they? I remember about this time last
  year everyday Policemen were parading through out little town, every time
  we'd have out school and go ice-eating or something - no one knew why there
  were there...

  But as long as you don't hear about anything bad that happened (or they are
  coming to take you) you shoudln't worry too much about it. They're supposed
  to be the "good guys" after all.
