The Cosmic Eyelash Rule (was Small rant about cosmetics' ads)

I know I'm going to be skewered by saying this, but my daughter and I 
both have very nice lashes - they're really the only physical feature 
that I am proud of (on myself, that is).  I'm lucky in that I really 
look stupid if I wear mascara - I usually save it for Halloween (or 
use the clear stuff if I'm worried about lashes falling out and into 
my eyes... ).  Anyway, if you want some proof that the Cosmic Eyelash 
Rule has at least two exceptions, and want to see some cute baby
