Need I say that I was very, very impressed?
I also find prepositions one of the hardest things about French, the
only language besides English I come close to being able to speak.
They resist one-to-one correspondence, so that de=from in many
instances but something quite different in other instances.

who thinks prepositions are great things to end sentences with
P.S. Which reminds me of an old, old joke.
Yokel pulls up to the side of the road in Harvard Square, leans out
the window, and says to the nearest undergrad-type, "'Scuse me, but
can you tell me where Widener Library's at?"
The student assumes a long-suffering look (something like Percy might
look if Molly poked her head into the fire to chat in the middle of a
busy afternoon at work) and says, "My dear man, it is very bad
grammar indeed to end a sentence with a preposition. Please, please
rephrase."
The yokel blinks, but has another go. "Can you tell me where Widener
Library's at, asshole?"
