Well what happens in NI and Scotland is anyones guess. I believe both
are able to do their own forms and so may have totally different
questions (though I would guess they are in fact fairly similar to
the English and Welsh forms).

All my information is from:
England and Wales: http://www.statistics.gov.uk/countmein/index.html
NI: http://www.nicensus2001.gov.uk/home.html
Scotland: http://wood.ccta.gov.uk/grosweb/grosweb.nsf/pages/home

Question 9 is: Can you understand, speak, read, or write Welsh.
It only appears on the Welsh household form (i.e. the form going to
people in Wales).

In England Question 9 is: This question is not applicable in England.

Amusingly they feel the need to ask the same question on the Welsh
language version of the form (the form written in Welsh for the Wlesh
households who want it).

The questions seem fairly similar, no matter whether you are in NI,
Scotland, England or Wales. However the order of questions changes
slightly.

Aparantly I should already have my form (or so the e-mail I just
received says). Tells me some of what I need to do and who I return
it to. Now I just have to wait for the form to arrive.
