Rachel, Ewan is indeed a Brit, because Scotland is part of Great 
Britain/United Kingdom.    Hogwarts is also supposed to be somewhere 
in Scotland isn't it (somewhere up the East Coast Main line anyway) 
and Professor McGonagall is Scottish (wears thistles in her hat 
etc.)  

So do not give up hope!
