My partner is the same way. I believe that books are my vice/addiction,
whatever you want to call them. I read almost everything, except
textbooks. When we go out, I'm always saying "let's go to the
bookstore", and he replies "you and bookstores, dear god, you already
have enough, why do you need more?"
We even had a blowup about Harry Potter. He doesn't want me to talk
about it anymore. Sigh. He says that, and I quote, "Harry Potter means
nothing to me. The books were nice, but sheesh, give it up!". I was very
upset.
Either way, we worked out our differences on that. He'll put up with my
reading, and I'll tolerate is anal retentivness. Fair trade, don't you
think?
Hugs
