Thanks to both Martin who replied off-list and Christian, but I think 
I am beyond helping - it seems that you cannot use signatures on the 
crappy TV internet that I am stuck with using - it doesn't let you do 
anything without a mouse so all you can do is read stuff and type 
stuff (and it explains also why my posts are all squashed up....)

Anyway, I thought, I'll go to the library where they have proper 
computers and see if I can do it there - well I then forgot my copy 
of the book (Philosopher's Stone)to take the quote for my signature 
from...and naturally the library's copies are all out on loan (and 
will be for the next decade...!)
