I forgot to say this before, but I wanted to thank you for this 
explanation on food color paste. I've never heard it before and now I 
have many frightening ideas on coloring everything I bake. My gaming 
group will either hate you or love you. (I'll let you know after the 
next game.)

My SO believes that you have created a monter -- a rainbow tye-dyed 
one with slightly singed edges.
