NH's mortality rate is actually below average -- 1.2 deaths per 100,000 miles 
driven; the national average is 1.5.  

The statistics are very counter-intuitive.  Massachusetts, renowned for its 
terrible "Boston drivers," has the lowest fatality rate.  Wyoming is 
third-highest, even though there are so few drivers out there to run into each 
other!  Looks to me like driving speed must be a major factor..
