Hi! This is my first post and I hope it's well-recieved. I'm
 looking forward to your responses.

I have noticed tht despite the large differences in Lord of the
Rings and HP they seem to remind me of one another. Tolkien created
an in depth world, but Rowling has written a great story. I especially
see a similarity between Dumbledore and Gandalf. Do you think
Rowling 'borrowed' some ideas from Tolkien? If so what are they?
Also, which book/series do you prefer?

Although I loved HP I have to say that LOTR is my all time
favorite. I believe that LOTR has more depth than HP. Although that
may not be fair to say because Rowling is not trying to create a
whole world, she is simply telling an amazing story!
