Anything Shakespeare could be fun.  Maybe Titania, queen of the 
Fairies in A Midsummer Night's Dream--just a nice, elegant dress and 
lots of glitter and makeup.  Or Ophelia from Hamlet...just drench 
her clothes in water before putting them on. ;)

If she's brave, she could dress, or not dress, as Eve from Paradise 
Lost.  Or even better, go as God!

Of course, Jane Austen is Classic, too!
