All that haggling and cheating (by both salesman and customer) and 
trying to out-intimidate each other (I bring my friend Diane to 
intimidate the dealership's closer) is called 'horse-trading'. I 
asked Tim: "Why do we have to go through all this stupid 
horse-trading?!" and he said: "Look at what it's called. Probably the 
people who used to sell horses moved to selling cars when the 
market for horses got real small."
