HP "memes" and Popular Songs

The Calling surely intend it as a romantic song, but it always strikes me 
very strongly as a maternal song instead.>>

Actually, I saw them do an interview on MTV the other day and they said the 
song wasn't supposed to be about romantic love. It had to do with the 
guitarist and his uncle, I can't really remember what. However, if it isn't 
supposed to be romantic, then the director of the video got it wrong. 
*Shrugs* I still love the song though. :)
