Jenny asked: "what movie scared the hell out of you and still does today?"

Similar to "The Day After" which you picked, I would choose the British TV
production called "Threads" which portrays a global nuclear war and 14 years
of its aftermath in Britain. Absolutely bleak and sickening, but
tremendously powerful.

Oddly enough, the movie "Frances" with Jessica Lange kept me awake all
night, and I've never had the nerve to watch it again. It's the story of
actress Frances Farmer, who at one point in her life was committed to a
hellhole mental asylum... Her treatment there, including a frontal lobotomy
with a needle through her eye socket, still makes my palms sweat.

I know there are more, but those two pop into my mind at the moment. Good
topic!

I never worry that all hell will break loose.
My concern is that only part of hell will
break loose and be much harder to detect.
