Amy...

Aren't you a member of L.O.O.N.?  Buckbeak is a "hippogriff", which 
means half HORSE, half EAGLE... a Gryphon is the one that's half 
lion.  The books have it right: Buckbeak's front half is eagle, his 
back half is horse.

Jen, who hasn't posted in so very long because of an unruly addiction 
to the (lame?) farming game "Harvest Moon" for Nintendo 64... and who 
would like to know if anyone else has other (legal... hehehe) 
"addictions" besides HP (and the Sims, which I also play a lot).
