I don't eat my grits as a hot cereal AT ALL! In fact I tease a friend 
of mine of eating her grits like a "Yankee" even though I am a 
transplant myself (but my mom's from Tennessee and has just moved 
back so I'm only a one-generation Yankee). I fry my eggs sunny side 
up and then mix my grits and eggs together with salt and pepper. Some 
bacon and tomato slices on the side and you have a delicious 
breakfast!
