The Phantom Tollbooth is a wonderful whimsical book about a little boy
named Milo who is oh, so, bored with everything, and is transported via
the Phantom Tollbooth to a world of watchdogs that tick, giant buzzing
spelling bees, and kings with names like AZAZ and the Mathemagician. My
copy is in storage, deep somewhere in a cardboard box, and I realized
there might be others out there whose copies are more readily available,
so I was trying to find the name of a monster in it. It might be the
Everpresent Wordsnatcher, but that still doesn't feel right.

Sorry, I can't recall the name of the author offhand.
