Nope.  I didn't look for or see anything 'til Ron's narrowed eyes at 
the Yule Ball.  Even when Ron stalked past her on the way in, I 
wasn't sure if he was mad at her or just didn't recognize her.  Only 
Ron was slower than I was to realize that he has a crush on 
Hermione.  Now, of course, I merrily find evidence going back to 
CoS.  Plus various H-likes-R and H-likes-H (and H-likes-H <g>) bits 
everywhere.  Tra la la!

Didn't read fanfic 'til I'd read all 4 books, read all 4 books in the 
space of a few weeks so didn't have much time to speculate or take a 
breath.

Nah.  I'm very unimaginative that way.  Only just this week, I 
started to think, "Maybe I could actually imagine some of the 
possible plotlines for OoP."  I immediately gave it up as too 
difficult.  I will let minds like JKR's and those ever-inventive, if 
sometimes bizarre, fanfic writers do the work and I will lie back and 
let all their creations wash over me.
